Dennis Rodman Reveals A Secret,Kim Jong-Un Has A Daughter

Dennis Rodman cannot keep a secret. After becoming best friends with Kim Jong-un, the leader of North Korea imparted some personal information to the former NBA star: He has a daughter.
Yep, according to Dennis Rodman, Kim Jong-Un has a secret daughter.
Rodman told the tabloid The Sun that Kim Jong-Un’s wife, Ri Sol Ju, kept talking about her beautiful daughter during his trip.
Rodman said: “She kept talking about their beautiful baby daughter.”
The Worm did not say if he got the chance to meet Kim’s secret daughter.
The Global Post reports that rumors have been circulating that Kim Jong-Un has a secret daughter, but the news has never been confirmed.
If the news is true, Ri Sol Ju probably gave birth toward the end of the last year. South Korean Intelligence Services claim that Jon-Un’s wife disappeared from the public eye for several months after the media started speculating about an alleged baby bump.
Rodman may have let news about Kim Jong-Un’s secret daughter slip, but the NBA Hall of Famer is keeping a tight lip about some of the other details about his trip. If you were interested in knowing about Jong-Un’s toilets, well, tough luck. Rodman isn’t talking.
Rodman said: “I won’t tell you if the toilets were made of gold or anything like that, as I promised Kim I wouldn’t talk about that stuff. There is a lot of stuff I can’t talk to you about.”
So, just to clear things up. Rodman has no problem talking about Kim Jong-Un’s secret daughter.

I'm Sorry versus Pride

Why is it so difficult to say the three little words “I am sorry?”  It goes a long way, but often too many times people struggle with uttering those words.

Try as we may, none of us are perfect.  We come with flaws and shortcomings I like to refer to as our character.  We may like to present ourselves in a fashion that masks our true character, but with time the truth is always revealed.  So, why not embrace our character, instead of hide from it?

I believe it might have something to do with that devious thing called PRIDE, which I will blog about soon. Pride has a way of preventing humility to shine through and allow one to open one’s mouth and authentically say “I am sorry.”

If you stop and think about it, it is kind of pitiful because admitting one’s shortcoming usually carries with it an understanding and acceptance from the other party.  However, being too prideful to say you’re sorry really causes one to lose respect.  Indeed, pride carries with it a heavy penalty!

I’ll be the first to admit there have been times I’ve struggled with saying I’m sorry or admitting I was wrong.  Personally, there is something that makes you feel less of yourself or capabilities.  Ironically, when I think of the times people have apologized to me, I can’t help having a greater respect and admiration for them, in spite of their shortcomings.

Perhaps, instead of noticing the shortcomings of others we should spend more time noticing our own imperfections and when justly wrong not stumble with saying “I’m sorry.”

 Lesson from a Nigerian Bank about Social Media

 

A thought leadership series from KPMG points out that there is a lot we can learn from Africa about the use of Social Media. For example, here is a excerpt about Nigeria's largest bank:

"Recognizing the unique needs and demographics of their customers, GTBank’s executives encouraged the bank to go further in leveraging social media to identify ways to make banking easier and more accessible for current and potential customers.

As a result, the Bank now boasts a fully functional online social media ‘customer care’ team (available 24 hours a day, seven days a week) and has launched a Facebook banking application which allows people to open GTBank accounts on Facebook. Future enhancements will customers to securely transfer money, purchase mobile air time, pay bills, and confirm their account balances, all through their Facebook accounts.

In this, GTBank ranks among just a handful of banks around the world that plan to offer this feature; not surprisingly, most are in the developing world (such as India’s ICICI and Brazil’s Bradesco) where traditional bank account opening processes are often considered cumbersome or inaccessible.

  

 Snowden has formally requested a temporary asylum in Russia

Former U.S. intelligence consultant Edward Snowden, blocked for more than three weeks in a Moscow airport on Tuesday urged a temporary asylum in Russia, told AFP the Russian lawyer Anatoly Koutcherena, who is in contact with him.

"The request was sent to the Russian authorities," said the lawyer, member of the Public Chamber, an advisory body close to Kremlin , stating that it had been given to a representative of the Migration Service.

"I just left" Edward Snowden at the airport in Moscow-Sheremetyevo, added the lawyer who had already met last Friday with the computer scientist.

That day, at a meeting held at the airport with 13 Russian personalities, including Mr. Koutcherena,Snowden had announced his intention to seek political asylum in Russia, waiting to go to America Latin America, where Venezuela, Bolivia and Nicaragua were willing to accept him.

But since the Russian authorities had indicated that they had received yet a formal request from him."We do not comment on this yet," said Tuesday a member of the Migration Service to Interfax.
